Should I bold or italicize my keywords or keyword phrases?
When visitors arrive at your site the first thing they do is scan your page for the exact terms they just finished searching for.
Bolding your keyword - phrases confirms to the visitor this page is relevant to their search topic. It's a proven fact that a reader's eye is drawn
to text that stands out.
Best practices are to use your keyword phrases (2 to 3 per page) bolding in your headers, sub headers and copy for easy reading. Once you have completed
your content and focused in on your pages keyword phrase, use your bolded keywords in your Title Tag, Meta Tags, image alt text as well as off page
optimization in off site anchor text (hyper links) pointing back to your site. This will give the search engines a focus of what the page is all about.
With all that is said above "SEO is an Art" so don't feel you have to smoother your page with everything that is mentioned. If it makes sense for your
readers to place a keyword rich headline on your page then by all means do so. The important thing to remember is you don't have to do every SEO trick
for the search engines to like you. Again, "SEO is and Art".
