Why doesn't my site rank well in the search engines?
Ranking high in the search engines is a science and the rules are continuously changing. You need to stay on top of what your competitors are doing and
make sure your applying your SEO techniques where they count.
Some of the reasons you may not be placing could be that you need to improve your title tags. Do your research and improve any incorrect usage of your
terms and make sure your title tags are unique across the entire site.
Make sure you are using an H1 tag on every page that's relevant to your title tag. Your title tag should reference the content on your page.
Check your image links and make sure your alt text is keyword rich but make sure you are not spamming your term. When using a keyword your best to start
with a keyword rich phrase that uses primary and secondary terms. This way you can mix and match to help avoid spamming issues.
Make sure that your content is relevant to your title and H1 tags and use them as close to the beginning of your first paragraph as possible. One big
mistake is to not use your keyword / phrase in the content at all.
Not having any other websites link to you would cause issues with link popularity. You need to find other sites that are relevant to your page, supply
them with a keyword rich text link that's relevant to your title tag and have them link back to you, thus creating link popularity.
